1.HANDICRAFT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The approach of the Organization was to organize need based skill development handicraft programmes to improve living condition through sustainable livelihood and to create a learning environment which will ultimately form a knowledge society with the overall objective to uplift the socio-economic status of neo-literates through income generation programmes as well as to educate them about the benefits of adopting income generation programmes as an individual and on community level, their legal rights. The aim of the programme is to economically and socially empower the beneficiaries of deprived sections specially women and to improve their living and earning conditions by providing them need based skill enhancement/ development vocational training for sustainable livelihood.
2. AGRICULTURE & HORTICULTURE DEVELOPMENT
We are covering whole Auras block of Unnao district and disseminating/ transferring the technology development methods for increasing productivity in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry and related fields for over all socio economic development of farmers specially farmer women. The strategy is to first demonstrate the variety, technology and use of critical inputs at institutional farms or at the site of willing farmer known as on farm trial. Organize exposure tours and field days for farmers at every stage of crop cycle and then finally demonstrate the impact of the initiative so that they can easily adopt the technology and gain the maximum benefit. We are working through the Youth Committee and farmer groups some of them formally started functioning as Self Help Group.
3. GREAT PERSONS CELEBRATION PROGRAM
The organization has celebrated many important days related to great persons i.e. Ambedkar Jayanti, Kabir Das Jayanti, Mahatma-Gandhi Jayanti, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Jayanti etc. every year. We have organized various Events, Activities & Campaigns to spread good messages & to persuade children & Youths to live in harmony with others.
We have reminded the society about their good deeds & their contribution towards society & its upliftment.
4. HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE PROGRAM
The society has organized various health & Family Welfare Programs at Auras Block of Unnao district for that purpose trained commuity health workers were working in field, women groups are being formed which are taking control of health services, children are being immunized, adolescents are being empowered on the health issues. Proper networking has been done with the government health delivery system for providing antal natal care to the pregnant women, lactating women and children below the age of five years. Participation of the community is the main feature of the programme and women health committee have taken control of the program.
5. SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
In order to economically empower women, skill building support has been provided by the society & has trained on Cutting & Tailoring, for which the raw material is locally available and girls have inclination to learn finer techniques in this trade. After the training support girls are making dresses, Skirts & suits which have a good market in the urban areas of Lucknow. SVS used the help of experienced trainers for capacity building purpose.60 girls of rural areas of Auras Block of Unnao district at Uttar Pradesh were trained to earn & improve their livelihood.
6. NUROPATHY & YOGA CAMP
The society has organized NUROPATHY & YOGA CAMP at Auras Block of Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh to create awareness among society about the importance of Yoga in life & how it strengthens nerves & body & taught them about Yoga as a science as well as art of healthy living. The Organization has also has encouraged awareness about traditional practices of Yoga was primarily concerned with personal enlightenment & how the focus has shifted towards the holistic treatment for various psychological dysfunctions.
7. HANDICAPPED WELFARE PROGRAM
The society has organized Handicapped Welfare Programs at Auras Block of Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh to create enabling environment, encourage voluntary actions, & inform about the measures taken by the society for raising awareness about the handicapped so that they do not get separated in the society apart from that society arranged painting & Debate completion among the disabled to explore their talent in this field & further planning e-marketing for their creative’s. Organization also has various plans to establish a school for benefitting handicapped.
8. BIRTH/DEATH ANNIVERSARY
The Organization through celebration of Birth/Death Anniversaries the Organization is reminding people of all those who sacrificed their lives for the country. We consider & explain people that they should be remembered on the day they were born & the day they left serving the country.
Considering their deed we all reminded the great people for their great deeds & hence celebrated the birth & death anniversaries of Indian freedom fighters.
9. CONUMER AWARENESS PROGRAM
We have implemented “CONSUMER EMPOWERMENT THROUGH CONSUMER EDUCATION AND LITERACY BY USE OF DIFFERENT IEC TOOLS” in Auras block, Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. For increasing awareness we have organized meetings in villages. We have individually contacted rural people enhance awareness regarding their responsibilities while purchasing their goods i.e. to purchase goods that are certified by ISO,AGMARK,WOOL MARK, FPO etc. We have made awareness among the people through wall Paintings. We have appointed volunteers to enhance the awareness among the people.
10. SANITATION AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Organization has been implementing “SANITATION AWARENESS PROGRAM” regarding which we have given lessons on effective hygiene & sanitation techniques. We have Organized a campaign which first aims to raise awareness about necessary behavior changes required to be accepted in one’s life like washing hands before eating, adoption of safe drinking water practices, proper cleaned utensils to be used for cooking etc. & explained them that increased access to sanitation & better hygienic practices have significant positive impacts on lives of people.
11. CULTURE PROGRAM
During the year cultural program was organized by the members at different place of districts. The aim of these program was to aware the public & the fund which was collected by the volunteers by these cultural program to help the people who are under the poverty line.
12. INSURING LIVES OF POOR PEOPLE:
The Organization is insuring lives of poor people through “Micro Insurance Policies” making Insurance work for the poor. Also explains them the benefits of life cover & Long term savings. We explain them that it is a protection for low income groups. We have majorly explained them that it covers various risks like (health, life etc.) & explained them about most frequent products of Micro Insurance Plans like:
Life Micro insurance (& retirement savings plan)
Health Micro-insurance (Hospitalization, primary Health Care, maternity etc.)
Disability Micro-insurance
Crop-Micro insurance etc.
